Miga Korean BBQ | Our Story
A home for Korean BBQ since 2004
Miga is a family-owned Korean BBQ restaurant built around Chef Song's culinary journey — from Seoul and Tokyo to the heart of Mississauga, since 2004.
Where the cooking began
Chef Song's love of food started in Seoul, helping her mother prepare family meals from scratch and making a quiet promise to keep those recipes alive. That early commitment to handmade, honest cooking is still the foundation everything at Miga is built on.
Seven years in Tokyo
Chef Song moved to Japan and spent seven years running Sumibian (炭火園), a high-end Korean BBQ restaurant shaped around selective Wagyu meats and the highest-quality ingredients. It was there that she refined the precision and sourcing standards that define Miga's menu today.

Miga in Mississauga
After her years in Japan, Chef Song brought her professional experience to Canada and opened Miga, blending the best elements of Korean food, Japanese influence, and family traditions to serve the Mississauga community. It began as a deeply personal project — and it still is.
The Miga table today
From A5 Wagyu sourced from Iwate to AAA+ Angus short ribs in Miga's secret BBQ sauce, every cut is made from scratch. Halal meats are available so everyone can share in the full experience.
